McCar is committed to quality, and nowhere is this more evident than in the locally-sourced products sourced from our quarry. Crushed stone is a foundational element in nearly all of our nation's infrastructure.
McCar's crushed stone is the Central Texas choice for a variety of projects including soil stabilization, utility bedding, roadways, road-side edge, retaining walls, erosion control, landscaping, and stormwater management projects. Crushed stone is also used as base material under foundations, roadways and railroads.
Additionally, McCar supplies crushed stone for use as a construction aggregate in a variety of projects, including residential and commercial property development, road construction, utility bedding and drainage applications, just to name a few. Crushed stone can also be used to make ready-mix concrete, railroad ballast, filter stone, and riprap.
We're honored to provide the following materials from our American quarry to help build our society's most important structures and keep the world moving forward.
1" Utility Stone
McCar's One Inch Utility Rock is our premium product for bedding and encasing underground utilities.
3/8" Utility Stone
Considered to be the "little brother" to our 1" utility stone, 3/8" utility stone meets an almost endless list of needs on the roadway, utility, and general construction spectrum.
3"x5" Riprap
Riprap is used for soil stabilization, bank restoration, gabion walls, erosion prevention and construction entrances. Our riprap rocks measure 3 to 5 inches in diameter, making them ideal bases.
Flex Base
McCar's flex base (TXDOT Item 247 Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5) is the Central Texas choice for weather-resistant roadway base. The quality of our stone and the technology in our crushing will help you meet or exceed the required specifications for most city, county, and state road and highway projects.
Concrete Sand
McCar's concrete sand is an outstanding component for a variety of concrete formulas used in Central Texas, including cement and asphalt mixtures. We mine, crush, wash, and sift at our quarry so your mixture is smooth.
